Armidale Athletics Club is excited to welcome Jay Stone back to Armidale for a special coaching clinic.
While Jay continues to coach a number of local athletes, this clinic represents a genuine welcoming back for the wider club community, as we reunite with a former Armidale Athletics Club Coach and President.
Jay served as President of the Armidale Athletics Club from 2013–2018, and was a coach at the club from 2006–2020. Jay also brings outstanding credentials as an athlete, including being a former silver medallist at the Oceania Championships (Open Men’s Long Jump) and a former World Masters Champion in the 200m/400m.
This session is designed for junior and developing athletes, focusing on the fundamentals of long jump. It is ideal for athletes who are new to the event, or who want to build confidence and consistency with safe, structured coaching.
