Photography & Media Consent
Throughout the athletics season, Armidale Athletics Club may photograph or film athletes participating in club activities, competitions, presentations, training sessions and other club events.
These images and videos may be used by the club for purposes including:
- Promoting the club and the sport of athletics.
- Sharing competition results and club news.
- Publishing on the club website.
- Posting on the club's official Facebook and other social media platforms.
- Club newsletters, promotional material and local media such as radio interviews or newspaper articles.
Athlete first names may occasionally be published alongside photographs, particularly when celebrating achievements, results or awards. Personal information such as contact details will never be shared.
The club will always endeavour to use images respectfully and appropriately.
Photography and videography are conducted respectfully and with the intention of showcasing the positive experiences of our athletes and club community.
As part of the registration process, athletes or the parents and guardians of athletes aged under 18 are asked to provide or decline consent for photography or filming for these purposes. The club will make every reasonable effort to respect the preferences of athletes and families who do not provide consent. However, as athletics competitions are public sporting events, it may not always be possible to exclude athletes from incidental inclusion in crowd or wide-angle event photographs where they are not the primary subject.
Athletes, parents or guardians may update or withdraw their consent at any time during the season by contacting the Club Registrar. Any change will apply to future photography and media use from the date the request is received.
